Double Tap to Zoom

It almost feels strange to think that Anderson .Paak and Kendrick Lamar haven't been making music together. Both of the California artists were previously featured on a track off Dr. Dre's 2015 album Compton, but other than that they don't have a history of collaboration. Over the weekend, Paak shared a photo of the two of them on Instagram captioned "October 4th." Based on that post, fans can expect him to release some sort of joint effort on that date.

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Paak revealed that the follow-up to his Grammy-nominated album Malibu will be titled Oxnard. As we previously reported back in July, the solo record is mixed by Dr. Dre since Paak is signed to his Aftermath label. Last year, Paak teamed up with Knxwledge and formed a duo called NxWorries—their Yes Lawd! album is out now.

A release date for Oxnard has not been confirmed at this time. Scroll down to get the full picture and stay tuned for more updates.

In other news, Little Simz dropped a new single dubbed "Boss." Get all the details right here.
