Today is the big day, as Apple has launched its much-anticipated Apple Music service as well as a 24-hour global radio station, Beats 1. The reputable Zane Lowe kicked things off this morning at 9 a.m. PDT, although it is being reported that the launch was premature and listeners were thus able to hear Lowe and crew testing the mics as well as ambient background music. Nonetheless, once things got rocking and rolling, Lowe appropriately took the opportunity to showcase some new music such as Pharrell's "Freedom," amongst other jams from the likes of Jamie xx, Beck, Skepta, Hudson Mohawke and more.

Lowe's hour installment on Beats 1 is on Monday to Thursday at 5 a.m. and 5 p.m. BST, while Ebro Darden broadcasts the same days at 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. BST, and Julie Adenuga then takes care of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. BST Monday to Thursday as well. For those in different timezones, each show will be airing strategically throughout the day.

Other segments for Beats 1 include Gratitude, which will see various artists speaking on the musicians that influenced them accordingly. Pharrell is also going to have his own show titled OTHERtone, where he will be working alongside Cara Delevingne. For a detailed schedule of all Beats 1 activities, however, head here to check out their breakdown.
