Bad Bunny, the record-breaking Puerto Rican artist, former partner of IRL Kendall Jenner, and now sneaker designer, has fast become as renowned for his playful sense of style as he has for his music and personal affairs.

The 30-year-old, who was a co-chair at this year’s Met Gala, arrived at the New York bonanza on May 6 sporting a regal, almost theatrical, ensemble designed by Maison Margiela.

The look featured an open-stitched suit, an oversized bonnet, some Pharrell-like miniature sunglasses, and, of course, a pair of Tabis.

However, if Bad Bunny’s stately Margiela ‘fit was to grace this year’s best-dressed list (which it did), the leather after party ensemble he was spotted wearing a couple hours post-Gala is more than worthy of a list of its own.

Clutching what appears to be Bottega Veneta’s Andiamo tote, Bad Bunny donned some tinted specs and cinched full-length leather jacket atop a crisp white concoction starring a pair of cuban-heeled white booties.

The look, while not revolutionary, is perhaps the antithesis of his start-of-the-night Margiela outfit in the sense that it feels both laid-back and effortlessly put together.

Bad Bunny is no stranger to great Met Gala ‘fits. Last year the rapper famously wore an angelic Jacquemus suit with the back cut out, while the year prior he managed to execute the unusual duo of a cap and a tuxedo.

This year, though, while Bad Bunny’s Margiela Met Gala ‘fit may well be his most talked about, his all-leather afterparty ensemble is, for me, his finest.
