Kobe Tributes Headline the Best Sneakers Worn During NBA All Star Weekend
NBA All Star Weekend is officially in the books and definitely one to remember. This year’s festivities saw Kawhi Leonard win the newly-renamed Kobe Bryant All Star MVP trophy, Aaron Gordon get robbed again in the Slam Dunk Contest, and Kanye West drop his long-teased adidas YEEZY QNTM sneaker.
As is the case most years, when fans weren’t focused on the action, their eyes were glued firmly to the feet of their favorite players. Everyone participating, as well as those attending and sitting courtside, wore the latest and greatest in basketball sneakers in a display of showmanship rivalled only by the NBA’s red carpet.
Kanye West’s YEEZY BSKTBL — the performance version of the aforementioned QNTM — was debuted by Zach Lavine during the Three-Point Contest, while several players wore their favorite Kobes (both from adidas and Nike) as a tribute to the late Los Angeles Lakers legend.
