What We’re Saying: Brain Dead's new Reebok collaboration has been teased since last month, but the Kyle Ng-led brand is just now taking the time to properly introduce the project. This week, we get an official look at the Brain Dead x Reebok Zig Kinetica II through a kaiju film, a Japanese movie featuring giant monsters, à la Godzilla.

Brain Dead's kaiju picture centers around a superhero by the name of Zig Man, who fights to save his city from monsters and himself from a mundane existence.

Subsequently, the brand's Zig Kinetica II is heavily inspired by kaiju vinyl toys, with its speckled, wavy overlays and midsole gradient. The silhouette is also packed with performance attributes, such as Reebok’s Floatride Fuel cushioning wrapped in a Zig Energy Shell, which offers superior energy return with each step.

"Whether you’re taking on outside invaders in an effort to save humanity or fighting the urge to eat that third slice of pizza, these shoes are ready for whatever your next battle has in store," Brain Dead said in a press release.

You can watch the brand's kaiju film below and then purchase the collaborative Zig Kinetica II on wearebraindead.com.
