Popular YouTube personality and filmmaker Casey Neistat tested out Elon Musk’s Boring Company flamethrowers for his latest review, after selling out of 20,000 units totalling $10 million in presales earlier this year.

In the nine-minute clip above, Casey Neistat provides an unboxing of the infamous device, revealing its contents, instructions and how to use the flamethrower, before expressing, "So basically you just paid $500 dollars for what is effectively a $30-$40 dollar roofing torch with a bunch of plastic on it."

Elon Musk even admitted himself that the creation of the flamethrower was not well thought out, and just an "off the cuff thing" during his wild The Joe Rogan Experience interview in September. Additionally, Musk admits that the flamethrower was a terrible idea. You can revisit that lengthy podcast in the video below.

While Elon Musk's flamethrower is considered as a goof, Casey Neistat reinforces that the flamethrower is "f*cking hysterical" and further supports Elon Musk. "I believe in Elon Musk and I like to support his endeavours," he said.

In related news, Elon Musk donated $480K and clean drinking water fountains to Flint schools.
