Editor’s Notes: Rei Kawakubo’s COMME des GARÇONS debuted its SS20 collection at Paris Women’s Fashion Week last September, teasing the label’s latest Nike collaboration in the process. Today, CDG and Nike launch a new co-branded Dunk Low that features a translucent, Hyperfuse-like upper and all-over CDG branding.
COMME des GARÇONS and Nike have made a habit of presenting their latest footwear collaborations on the Paris runway over the years, giving sneakerheads a (very) early look at what they can expect in the coming seasons.
This specific collaboration is mainline Nike, not SB, due to the sneaker not being outfitted with the padded tongue and other hallmarks of the Swoosh’s skate-focused subdivision. White all-over CDG branding is seen on a black translucent upper, with black detailing on the tongue and heel, and a black midsole finishing off the look. A version without the all-over print will also release, both launching in men's and women's sizes.
