Netflix has announced that beloved comedy series Community will be coming to the streaming platform on April 1. The news was shared via the company's official comedy Twitter account, Netflix Is A Joke, with a caption that insisted the tweet is not an April Fools' joke.

Created by Rick and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon, Community aired on NBC and then Yahoo! Screen from 2009 to 2015, and was previously available on Hulu. The series features an all-star cast that includes Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Donald Glover, Ken Jeong, Chevy Chase, and Jim Rash.

Community centers around a study group at a community college in the fictional town of Greendale, Colorado. The series is known for its pop culture references and parodies of film and television clichés.

With Netflix due to air the hit series many fans are speculating that a Community movie will finally be made. Alison Brie previously stated that such a film would be perfect for Netflix.
