Editor’s Notes: Later this month Converse will be releasing its new "Renew Denim" collection. The capsule features the classic Chuck 70, offered in low and high-top iterations made from upcycled denim.

This particular release accounts for the first time Converse is reimagining used textiles from landfills to create new sneakers. The panels of the Chuck 70s are crafted from individual pairs of jeans that have been separated into three washes of light, medium, and dark.

Converse's "Renew Denim" Chuck 70s come to select retailers globally and Converse.com on August 22.
