The seventh installment of the cult Child’s Play franchise, titled Cult of Chucky, will be skipping the theatrical route and debuting on Blu-ray, DVD and digital instead on Monday, October 2, 2017.

Cult of Chucky marks the return of filmmaker Don Mancini, the creator of the franchise who wrote the screenplays for the first five Child’s Play movies before assuming screenwriting and directing duties.

In this latest trailer, Fiona Dourif reprises her role from Curse of Chucky as Nica Pierce, who is locked in an asylum after she is mistakenly convinced that Chucky is a fantasy and delusion, and that she’s the one responsible for her family’s murders. A therapist, however, introduces a Good Guy doll to aid in working her inner demons but Chucky emerges for a killing spree once more.

The Cult of Chucky Blu-ray and DVD will also include two featurettes — one on the film's production and the other on Alterian, the studio that provided the puppeteering for the film.

Once again, Cult of Chucky arrives on October 2, 2017.

Now watch Robert Pattinson racing against the clock to save his brother in Good Time.
