Kanye West made headlines for the millionth time this week upon tweeting his support for Donald Trump. After calling Trump his brother, Kanye then went on to post a picture of his Make America Great Again hat, signed by the president.

Trump in turn caught wind of West’s support, replying accordingly with, “Thank you Kanye, very cool!”

When celebrity friends and fans alike quickly began to call Kanye out for his questionable alignment, Chance The Rapper came to ‘Ye’s defense, tweeting, “Black people don’t have to be democrats.”

Now, Trump has returned to Twitter to commend Kanye, as well as give a thank you shoutout to Chance, although Chance feels Trump may have misunderstood his stance.

In a followup post, the 25-year-old hip-hop star clarified his recent comments, detailing his support for ‘Ye and confusion surrounding Donald Trump.

In the midst of all this, the media has begun to question the mental health of Kanye, as wife Kim Kardashian has immediately come to his aid, insisting there is nothing wrong. But at the end of the day, West’s support of Trump makes absolute, beautiful, perfect, fantastic, sense. Follow here for more.

In related news, Donald Trump’s campaign — to no surprise — is now using Kanye West to sell Make America Great Again hats.
