Dries Van Noten presents one of this year's most street-friendly ready-to-wear collections at this season's Paris Fashion Week. Using various hues of purple, blue, yellow and grey, the Belgian designer took bomber jackets, frock coats, aviator pants, and lightweight parkas and reworked them with snaps, zippers, strips of parachute silk and safety belts. Rave, punk, skate and techno subcultures were juxtaposed against "details of ancient dress," while clashing patterns meshed in an overall cohesive way.
