Highsnobiety

Ironically, it's often tackling the foundations of your wardrobe that bares the greatest level of difficulty. From choosing your t-shirt staple, considering its weight and silhouette, to the right pant fabrication for daily rotation, these are the essentials, yet getting them right proves an uphill battle.

Sourcing the right brands to kick this legwork out from under you, as laborious as it may prove to be, is the simplest way to elevate your wardrobe from the ground up. With the everyday expertise of a brand like FrizmWORKS, the task's made easy. Why? Because it consistently executes at its peak.

Between its plethora of pant styles that riff on silhouettes that balloon wide or favor sharp militaristic tailoring, varied outerwear options of all lengths, shirting, and other populated categories, it strikes a balance of style and sophistication; smart-casual wears without rigidity.

As SS23 continues to unravel its exploration of the theme of "Concentration," delivering a focused take on unique details on silhouettes rooted in comfort, FrizmWORKS founder An Jong Hyuk peels back the layers of the brand to detail its forward motions.

What are FrizmWORKS' core values?

Communicating our tastes and moods to our customers.

How do these values impact the design of individual pieces and seasonal collections as a whole?

FrizmWORKS does not use fancy details or colorful colors, we design a stable silhouette with witty details in it.

Are there any particular eras that inform or inspire the direction of the brand?

We don't set a special era to work with. I look at all the different doubles from the past. If there is a design that suits our taste, we reinterpret it in a modern way of our own.

How is high quality assured when creating products?

We do all the planning, design, and production ourselves. We don't deliver it to the outsourcing company, and we participate in the process directly so that we can maintain better quality. On top of that, I'm always trying not to be complacent but to develop more.

How has the brand evolved since its conception?

It's becoming more of a high-quality brand every year. I started the brand in 2010 and have developed steadily so far without much difficulty. It has only been a few years since it was introduced in the European market, but I am happy to receive good feedback from customers.

Are there any milestones that the brand is particularly proud of?

We still have a long way to go, but Korean brands so far have few long-established fashion brands with heritage.

In most cases, the brand loses its value and disappears while following only trends. 13 years after we started the brand, it's still going in the direction we want to go. This value will continue to be preserved.

Do you have any plans to collaborate with international brands in the future?

Currently, we are planning a 23SU collaboration product with Island Slippers in Hawaii, USA.

Above all, collaboration is proceeding carefully because the synergy between the two brands must be exercised.

What should we expect from FrizmWORKS in the near future?

I don't make big plans. There will be more pleasant meetings with various customers, and we will focus only on sharing our tastes together.
