We're not used to seeing happy endings on Game of Thrones, which makes this news all the sweeter. Having dated for five years, show co-stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie have announced their engagement.
The couple took the quaint approach of announcing the news in The Times newspaper under the Forthcoming Marriages section. They initially met on the set of the hit HBO series in 2012, playing on-screen love interests Jon Snow and Ygritte, but didn’t step out onto the red carpet together until last year's Olivier Awards.
“If you’re already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it becomes very easy to fall in love,” Harington previously told Vogue Italia. More recently, the King in the North appeared on James Corden's The Late Late Show where Nicole Kidman pressured him into popping the question. Peep the video below.
