Gosha Rubchinskiy unveiled his surprise collaboration with adidas Football in Kaliningrad, Russia earlier this month, and with it came our first look at his take on the ACE 16+ SUPER sneaker.

The ACE 16+ SUPER wasn't the only sneaker on show (you can the others here) but it was certainly the one that caught our eye the most — in no small part because it comes with that bang-on-trend sock design. It's derived from adidas Football's ACE 16 + football boot (worn by the likes of Paul Pogba and Gareth Bale, no less) and comes with a seamless Primeknit upper in tonal red, black or white, with thick Three Stripes branding on the side panels.

The minimalist aesthetic is continued with a thin white midsole and a classic gum outsole that curls up slightly at the toe for a retro-yet-futuristic effect, and for footballers who actually want to play futsal in it. Stay tuned for release dates.

In other sneaker news, Alexander Wang and adidas are rumored to be working on a BOOST sneaker.
