Gucci / Harmony Korine

Speculation of a Gucci/Gucci Mane collaboration has been mounting in recent weeks and now the prophecy has been fulfilled. The rapper and rock legend Iggy Pop takes center stage in the Harmony Korine-shot ComeAsYouAre_RSVP Gucci Cruise 2020 campaign.

One of the most memorable images from the series sees an elated Gucci Mane sprawled out on a massage table as he is waited on in an ornate '70s hotel room. Yesterday, the rapper used Korine's shot to announce Woptober 2, the sequel to his 2016 mixtape.

For the campaign, Alessandro Michele threw the ultimate Italian house party, captured in the series of photos above and the video below. He explained that the carefully curated guest list collectively embody the archetypes of the "wild rockstar, the glamorous socialite, the bourgeois lady, the tycoon, and the hip hop star."

The debaucherous party vibe highlights the Ancient Rome inspiration behind the collection which went on show at the Capitoline Museum in the Italian capital earlier this year.

On this week’s episode of The Dropcast, we are joined by the Patta dons Edson Sabajo and Guillaume Schmidt, who are marking the Dutch brand’s 15th anniversary with historical milestones.
