Earlier this year Instagram implemented a new feature that notified people when you screenshot their Story. Now, the company has decided to remove the function, once again allowing you to creep more discretely.

Instagram's screenshot notifications had been on a "trial period" for the past several months, while a decision to abandon the feature has yet to be disclosed. Nonetheless, the update arrives as IG is playing with the possibility of hour-long videos, as well as a new shopping feature coming to Stories.

Be sure to let us know what you think of Instagram's removal of screenshot notifications.

In other tech-related news, Apple has tapped Grimes, among others, for its new "Behind the Mac" ads.
