During Sunday night's Golden Globes, allegations against James Franco began circulating on Twitter.

Like many other actors, the star wore a Time's Up pin, showing his support for the movement to end sexual harassment and assault in the movie industry. However, in a tweet, actor Violet Paley has accused the star of sexual misconduct, while Sarah Tither-Caplan detailed an incident where she felt Franco exploited his power over a young actor.

In a now-deleted tweet Breakfast Club actress Ally Sheedy hinted at further sexual misconduct, writing "James Franco just won. Please never ask me why I left the film/TV business."

During an appearance on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert , Franco addressed the allegations, saying: “The things I heard are not accurate, but I completely support people coming out because they didn’t have a voice for so long.”

On the Ally Sheedy tweet, Franco alleged that he didn't know what she was referencing. “I have no idea what I did to Ally Sheedy. I directed her in a play Off Broadway," the star said. "I had nothing but a great time with her, total respect for her. I have no idea why she was so upset.”

Finally, Franco said, “If there’s restitution to be made, I will make it."

This isn't the first time that Franco's sex life has come under scrutiny. During the Golden Globes, many Twitter users brought up a 2014 incident in which Franco knowingly DM'd a 17-year-old girl and invited her to his hotel room, (Franco was 35 at the time).

Franco admitted this happened, telling hosts on Live With Kelly and Michael that he was "embarrassed" and that "social media is tricky."
