Janet Jackson just revealed that a new album and world tour are on the way. The legendary singer took to Instagram to announce her new project, which is titled Black Diamond, and then appeared on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon to ensure everyone got the memo.

In the post caption, Ms. Jackson revealed the meaning behind the album's title. "I see myself as a Black Diamond in its purest form. I’m a rock, I have ruff edges but I keep moving forward. I want to show you my strength as well as give you strength."

Though there isn't a confirmed release date yet, Black Diamond is expected to arrive sometime this year.

The US and Canada leg of the tour will kick off on June 24 in Miami, Florida, with more European and world dates to be announced soon. Fans can buy pre-sale tickets starting February 11 by signing up to Jackson's newsletter, while general tickets will be available on February 13 at Live Nation.
