While working on multiple TV series, Kid Cudi found time to record new music with Eminem. "The Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady," which dropped this morning, sees Em and Cudi trading verses over dark instrumentals by Cudi’s main producer Dot Da Genius.

Cudi delivers his signature stream of consciousness-style musings before Em drops in at 1:50. And he doesn't hold back. Slim Shady uses his first official collaboration with Cudi to take aim at American Footballer, Drew Brees, those who refuse to wear masks, and Donald Trump (once again).

Em is most unrelenting when it comes to the issue of police brutality. He offers a prayer for George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery, two Black men who were killed by police. "How the fuck is it that so many cops are dirty? (Huh?)" he asks, before returning to Floyd's death. "I can't breathe when I got you on top of me. Your goddamn knee's on my carotid artery."

Ahead of the drop, Cudi had his daughter Vada announce the track. “Hi, it’s Vada. I’m here to say that my daddy’s new single, ‘The Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady,’ is coming out on Friday. Check it out. Bye,” she said.

Kid Cudi and Eminem have never previously collaborated, although Cudi did mysteriously reach out to Em on Twitter back in May, asking for help. Prior to, Em gave Cudder a shoutout on Bad Meets Evil's “All I Think About” from 2015.
