Missy Elliott knows quite a bit about being an icon and she's letting it be known with her new album, Iconology. Serving as her first album in 14 years, Missy, in her own words, throws it back "to a time when music just felt good and made us want to dance." The 5-track collection is produced by Elliott, Timbaland, and Wili Hendrix, and you can stream it in full below.

Along with the new album, Elliott dropped a colorful video for her single "Throw It Back." The visuals feature a cameo by Teyana Taylor and see Missy Misdemeanor rap, dance, and show off her signature steezy style. Watch the video above.

During a simulated moon landing in the "Throw It Back" video, Missy references the VMAs, rapping “So many VMAs that i could live on the moon.” This is not a random boast, on Monday, August 26, Missy Elliott will be honored with the MTV VMAs Video Vanguard Award.
