While last night's proceedings lacked some of the scandalous moments of previous years, it more than made up for it in olympian choreography and acceptance speeches that ranged from the heartfelt to the absurd (FYI Lil Nas X brought a scroll when accepting his Song of the Year award).

Of course, everyone was holding out for Normani to take the stage after she dropped her epic ode to music video history. Needless to say, her “Motivation” performannce did its job and the internet is still reeling.
