Brand: NEPENTHES

Season: SS19

Key Looks: The SOUTH2 WEST8 Mexican Parka is a perfect option for coastal layering. The light cotton material rounds off the loose-fitting v-neck piece, is finished with an ikat fabric, constructed in India.

Editor’s Notes: NEPENTHES called upon stylist Naoki Ikeda for its coastal SS19 editorial. Titled, “Anything But Strong,” the coastal shoot features mainstays, SOUTH2 WEST8, Engineered Garments, Needles, Randt, and AiE.

Ikeda employs face paint in organic hues to create moving, mime-like vignettes against the editorial’s dramatic coastal backdrop. The muted landscape is a perfect canvas for striking, bright pieces such as Randt's Studio Jacket for ¥35,000+tax (approx. $314), together with the Studio Pant for ¥31,000+tax (approx. $278), or this season’s stand-out paint-splattered cowboy hat by Needles for ¥25,000 (approx. $225). Take a look below.

We find new additions to Nepenthes’ expanding footwear selection, with Needles offering up Geta Sandals with Tsumugi Thong for ¥28,000 (approx. $251) and tasseled Swedish clogs from Needles and Troentorp for ¥29,000+tax (approx. $260). Shop the individual products at NEPENTHES.
