Editor’s Notes: Jordan Brand is set to release a women’s Air Jordan 1 that honors Michael Jordan’s North Carolina roots. This particular "UNC" Air Jordan 1 is dressed in patent leather, first seen on a performance shoe when the Air Jordan 11 dropped in 1995.

The upper combines Carolina blue with a black and white base for a subtle update of an unmistakable and iconic colorway.

Certain European retailers already released the patent leather “UNC” Nike Air Jordan 1 on February 2, while a Stateside release is planned for Valentine’s Day, February 14.
