Converse’s Fluffy "UGG" Moc Has the Sole of a Running Shoe
You can almost always count on Converse Japan for a quirky remix of the brand's most classic models, like the Chuck Taylor. Today, the Japanese imprint is dishing out a UGG-coded slip-on moccasin.
Really, the Converse T-Bone Slide Moccasin Boa is like a slipper, running shoe, and UGG shoe in one. It features the classic suede-like moccasin-style upper, complete with a fluffy fur collar and hairy lining. Underfoot, a chunky foam sole with a hollowed-out center looks like it came straight from a modern-day running shoe.
And it's hands-free, so you can slip on the fluffy T-Bone moc and go. It's like Nike's EasyOn models but make it All-Star this time around.
Converse Japan has made the chunkiest ballerina sneakers, Chuck Taylor sneaker-heels, and luxe square-toe sneakers. And the brand has done it again with the T-Bone Slide Moccasin Boa. It's another weird, albeit interesting, hybrid model with high-quality touches. It's also still very much connected to the brand's DNA, this time leaning into Converse's running side.
The T-Bone Slide Moccasin Boa shoes are slated to drop on November 20 on Converse Japan's website for ¥10,890, roughly $68. It'll land in black and chestnut colorways.
There's also a non-boa version up for grabs, for those looking for a simple, quirky moc runner.
