Nike’s Caramel-Coated Dunk Has Us Craving Something Sweet
Nike’s Dunk has had more lives than most sneakers. It’s been everywhere, in every color, and somehow still manages to find another way back into the rotation.
This time, it’s giving caramel delight.
The Dunk Low Retro comes dressed in a warm mix of Tawny, Flax, Twine, and Sesame, with the kind of brown-on-brown palette that looks good enough to eat. It’s sweet without being sickly, helped along by a darker sole that gives the whole thing a little more bite.
If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to retire the endless beige sneaker rotation, this might be it. There’s something particularly good about a Dunk when it leans into its more muted side, and this one feels made for worn-in denim and dressing like you have somewhere better to be.
It also has that slightly old-school quality that makes you want to beat it up a little. The more it gets worn, the better the whole caramel thing should look.
Basically, Nike has taken one of its most familiar sneakers and made it look like it belongs in the dessert aisle. Not a bad place to be.
