Nike's Pegasus sneaker is looking unrecognizable in the best way possible. The Nike Pegasus Premium is one of the coolest offerings to come from Nike's running shoe arsenal, and now this "cool kid" sneaker is getting a stylistic boost. How? By dropping its signature Swoosh, of course.

Sometimes you have to strip a shoe down to build it back up.

Traditionally, Nike's Pegasus Premium sneaker sports a fat Swoosh across the midfoot. Signature branding for a signature shoe — fair enough. But there is a degree of chicness found in the absence of Nike's classic Swoosh branding.

The browned-out "Caldera Brown," Nike Pegasus Premium, available on the Nike website for $210, swaps out that classic big ol' Swoosh for a tiny black version at the heel. Very minimalist. Very dapper.

Elsewhere, the shoe maintains that classic Pegasus essence with its full Air Zoom Unit that makes up the entire outsole and lightweight upper. This is still a runner, after all. And to be clear, the Pegasus Premium sneaker has always been a cool shoe.

Yes, in the literal sense, like with the Cool Gray-inspired Pegasus Premium, but the Swarovski-covered Pegasus and flashy "Mushroom Kingdom" sneakers are nothing to scoff at either.

Nevertheless, this Swoosh-less Pegasus Premium’s classy disposition is boosted by its tonal terracotta colorway, which looks like three layers of sweet tiramisu wrapped into one sporty package.

In "Caldera Brown," the Pegasus sneaker is a chocolatey upgrade on a well-respected shoe, made all the better by its lack of big-Swoosh energy.
