Key Features: Suede and canvas construction with adjustable Velcro strap on the ankle area, special branded outsole that reads, “The Past Tells Everything”
Release Date: Available now.
Editor’s Notes: Kanye West’s forgotten fashion line Pastelle, was coming to fruition in the mid ’00s, until everything went dead. Tons of sample pieces from the brand were left untouched, and even given to models when modeling the silhouettes.
One particular example is this mid-top sneaker that was given to model Gio Mitchell. The individual received the 1 of 1 sneaker sample when he modelled a photoshoot that Kanye West organized for Pastelle. It’s suggested that it occurred during 2009, since the shoes were produced that year, and was part of Pastelle’s FW10 collection.
The shoe, which comes in size 9 only, is rendered in a versatile light grey/white colorway, but already featuring slight discoloration due to age. Additionally, since the silhouette is the only pair in existence, a box was never produced.
If you’re looking to own a piece of fashion and music history, the pair is now listed for sale via @hidden.ny.
