Editor's Notes: Reebok is enjoying some well-deserved time in the spotlight as the year comes to a close. The brand has been forward-thinking when it comes to the slip-on craze, perfecting the Beatnik with Primaloft and Cordura to blend indoor comfort and outdoor protection.
It has also been a forefront of the industry's crazier silhouettes with its recent collaborative sequel with Ghostbusters and an updated take on the Instapump Fury featuring weather-protection courtesy of GORE-TEX.
Striding feet-first through fall, you're always going to encounter a puddle or two, so Reebok's love of GORE-TEX is a welcomed addition to its wider selection of silhouettes.
When it comes to performance, the Reebok Zig Kinetica II franchise is a step ahead. Following the recent introduction of the "Edge" silhouette under the umbrella, Reebok has put a tight focus on evolving the sneaker to be an industry frontrunner. Armed with Vibram Ecostep and GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ THERMIUM™, it's hard to beat.
The most recent GORE-TEX-equipped release offered a two-piece monochrome pack of black and cream. For this seasonal update, the color palette chosen is distinctly more retro-inspired while retaining its futuristic, bordering-on-ninja aesthetic.
One pairs a base of black and grey with hints of green and pink, while the second is a mix of browns, beige, and teal. Something about this pack is very Metal Gear Solid, which leaves me thinking they'd look great with our upcoming ACRONYM products.
