Salehe Bembury

With an anticipated Crocs collaboration on the way, Salehe Bembury continues to show that he's as busy as ever. The renowned footwear designer is prepping yet another joint project, as he has taken to Instagram to tease his first-ever collab with Vans.

As the first coloroway was debuted by Mid90s actor Olan Prenatt and a second revealed by Bembury, we see that the co-branded Vans Authentic is made in partnership with the designer's brand, Spunge. The sneaker serves as the label's debut collaboration, boasting Bembury's signature fingerprint motif in an all-over pattern on the upper. Emerging in a predominantly blue and yellow look as well as pink and tan, the Authentic features a contrasting white midsole and comes with blue or pink laces. From a second image shared by Bembury, we learn that the shoe has cork insoles, another one of the designer's signature details.

With the Spunge x Vans effort, Bembury continues to add to his roster of collaborators, having already teamed up with the likes of New Balance, ANTA, and the aforementioned Crocs. All of this came as he parted ways with Versace at the end of 2020.

It remains to be seen when the Spunge x Vans Authentic will release, but expect to see and hear more from Bembury in the days ahead. In the meantime, you can learn about the designer by reading our recent interview here.
