BEAMS x HOKA Bondi 7

Editor's Notes: HOKA's chunkiest running shoe just spent a weekend at a Japanese zen garden, and it shows. Marking BEAMS' 50th anniversary and the storied retailer's first-ever HOKA collaboration, this Bondi 7 wears an exclusive camo print, inspired by gravel gardens and weathered temple timber, right down to the raked hōkime lines etched into side. The Chestnut and Black Bean colorway keep it grounded, yet this is, in fact, a maximalist running shoe that's all-in on quiet and considered design.
New Balance 327

Editor's Notes: Generally, the 327 has made '70s revivals look effortless, and this Pumpernickel and Sea Salt pairing is no exception. The exaggerated cow-print overlay and oversized N logo are still doing the heavy lifting in terms of personality, while the lugged 355-inspired outsole ups the ruggedness. Suede, nylon, and a name like Pumpernickel — this is a sandwich of good stuff you'll want to wear.
END. x adidas Adistar Control 5

Editor's Notes: END. has never met a running silhouette it couldn't send through a mood board, and this time the reference point is motocross. The Adistar Control 5 gets kitted out like rider gear, with protective-looking overlays and racing-inspired detailing, while a clean mesh base keeps one foot planted in its original running DNA. Crystal White and Aurora Ivy tones make it look considerably calmer than the dirt bikes that inspired it.
Aimé Leon Dore x New Balance Rebel V5

Editor's Notes: Aimé Leon Dore doing a running shoe still feels like a slight contradiction, but Teddy Santis shows he has his ears to the street. A race-inspired mesh upper and PEBA/EVA FuelCell setup mean it's genuinely built to move, but that cobalt blue colorway and co-branded logo have a preppy quality too — these are fast and potentially too good-looking for actual training.
New Balance 1890A

Editor's Notes: Somewhere in New Balance's back catalog, a running shoe decided it wanted to wear a suit, and the 1890A became the result. The moccasin toe gives it a genuinely high-fashion aesthetic while ABZORB cushioning and an ultra-stable heel keep the actual comfort intact underneath. Dark Night and Candied Violet make it moodier than your average dad shoe, in the best way.
Nike Air Jordan 3 "Sport Renaissance"

Editor's Notes: Two shoes, two entirely different moods, one silhouette doing double duty. The Obsidian half plays it cool with light blue and white pops against smooth leather, while its other foot goes full hot pink and red main character energy. Elephant print is swapped for tumbled leather and a ruched tongue, proving the AJ3 can still be reinvented forty years on, without losing what made it iconic.

Editor's Notes: An understudy to the Alphafly, this Zoom Fly 6 finally gets the headline spot it deserves.
