Last year's Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which is the second installment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy and the eighth main installment of the Star Wars franchise, has been a critical success since premiering in December.
With its official Blu-ray and DVD arriving later this month, it'll offer a special feature-length documentary The Director and the Jedi, which provides an extensive behind-the-scenes look at the production of the film.
In The Director and the Jedi, by filmmaker Anthony Wonke, he places the spotlight on director Rian Johnson, and his process as a director new to the franchise, as Johnson has been a fan of the film since childhood, and sets out to make the most powerful Star Wars movie he can.
The 12-minutes in the video above shows a myriad of candid scenes, like John Boyega and Benicio del Toro hugging and laughing while shooting a scene, a tender moment between the late Carrie Fisher and director Rian Johnson, the meticulous production of sets, and much more.
Enjoy the clip, as you can watch the rest of this special feature when Star Wars: The Last Jedi releases on Blu-ray and DVD on Tuesday, March 27.
