Following Ghost in the Shell, another popular Japanese manga series is reinterpreted into a live-action adaptation film with Sui Ishida's Tokyo Ghoul.
For those of you who are unaware, Tokyo Ghoul is a dark fantasy manga series that is situated in an alternate reality -- where ghouls can only survive by eating human flesh, and live among the normal humans in secret, hiding their true nature.
A teaser trailer of the forthcoming film above, directed by Kentarō Hagiwara, follows Ken Kaneki -- the main protagonist of Tokyo Ghoul, as he's transformed into a Ghoul hybrid.
Tokyo Ghoul will debut in Japan on Saturday, July 29, 2017.
In other movie-related news, Josh Brolin has been cast to play Cable in Deadpool 2.
