After penning two of the more underrated films in recent memory - Sicario and Hell or High Water - Taylor Sheridan transitioned into the director's chair for 2017's, Wind River, which continued his exploration of the American West.
Now Sheridan has set his sights on the TV realm. The first trailer for Yellowstone suggests that his fascination with the sprawling, open spaces, and morally conflicted men hasn't dwindled.
Starring Academy Award winner, Kevin Costner, as John Dutton, a man who controls the largest contiguous ranch in the United States, under constant attack by those it borders - land developers, an Indian reservation, and America’s first National Park - the official synopsis suggests, "an intense study of a violent world far from media scrutiny."
Yellowstone premieres June 20 on Paramount Network.
