What We’re Saying: The age of the luxury outdoor footwear collaboration is upon us. The North Face and Gucci led the way last year, with HOKA ONE ONE and Moncler giving us our first real co-branded outdoor shoe that still packs a performance punch. Now, Zegna and La Sportiva have teamed up to get in on the action.

The collaboration includes footwear, accessories, and apparel. While $5,000 skis are definitely an eye-catching piece, it’s the footwear that has caught our eye. Following its rebrand, which Highsnobiety covered in detail here, Zegna has lent its new logo and signature color scheme to two of La Sportiva’s most powerful models: the low-top Ultra Raptor, and the high-top TX Top GTX.

The Ultra Raptor is a mountain running shoe that’s known for its supreme comfort, ruggedness, and grip, while the TX Top GTX is covered by a shroud that makes it completely waterproof — a godsend during European winters.

Zegna and La Sportiva dropped their collection on December 3, with most of the pieces still available online. Check it out via Zegna’s official website, and be sure to check out the best trail-running shoes in our dedicated roundup.
