As we are inching towards the much-anticipated release date for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Entertainment Weekly has chosen to highlight the film in this week's issue. The publication got together with the movie's director J.J. Abrams for a coinciding Q&A to provide fans with some insight on the flick.

In addition to the interview, EW also showcases a series of images that in turn provide with a more in-depth look at the film. We note numerous actors on set as well as such characters as C-3PO, R2-D2, Captain Phasma, General Hux and more.

Upon checking out the photos above, you can pick up the Star Wars-specific issue of Entertainment Weekly here.
