The QWSTION backpack tote bag, which swiftly transforms from backpack to tote, has evolved steadily since its 2011 inception; and a special edition fourth generation just dropped balancing functionality with the brand's signature minimalist aesthetic.

With electronic devices getting smaller and lighter, the latest rendition focuses on modern lifestyle requirements. It’s been adapted to feature a padded laptop compartment, multiple openings and an overall reduced size and weight. Trademark rawcycled canvas and vegetable tanned cowhide give a premium finish to the durable and environmentally friendly bags.

We took the innovative design to Japan, a country famed for inventiveness, to test drive it in the metropolitan jungle that is Tokyo. Whether strapped to the biker's back or slung over his should, the dual-purpose bag demonstrates on-the-go adaptability suited to the modern person. Check it out in our exclusive short film above.

QWSTION launched during 2008 in Zurich, Switzerland. Unable to find an accessories brand that satisfied their needs, five Swiss designers put their heads together and started their own. Enhancing the traditional bag came before reinventing the bag, questioning every element during the design and manufacturing process to improve upon past mistakes.

Limited to 125 pieces worldwide, the special edition bag is available to shop online via the link below or in-store at the brand's Zurich flagship. A second flagship also opens in Vienna this September.
