Where the runway meets the street

It has been just under a year since Swedish brand Nocs, primarily known for its audio equipment, launched its accessories-focused subset Nocs Atelier. It debuted with a watch called the “Seconds,” a timepiece with a minimalist aesthetic that was as sleek as it gets. Now, fresh from premiering its first-ever line of jewelry, the brand has created the watch’s next edition: a “Seconds GMT” that somehow may be even sleeker, don’t ask us how.

Currently in the funding stage on Kickstarter, the “Seconds GMT” aims to combine the minimalism of the previous edition while adding a huge level up in functionality. This is perhaps most clear in the fact that the watch displays two separate time zones, not to mention the fact that its waterproof.

But it has an aesthetic evolution as well. Where the initial version of the watch was almost exclusively monochromatic with the sole exception of the second hand, the “GMT” adds a bit more contrast in highlighting not only the second hand but each of the indicators and hands as well. The “GMT” is available in two separate colorways: an all-silver “Stainless Steel” and a classic “Black.” Both also come with your choice of wristband, available in a variety of colors and made from entirely recycled materials.

Since the “Seconds GMT” is still being funded, no official release date has been set. But you can pre-order the watch on its Kickstarter page.
