American heritage label Woolrich has almost 200 years of experience when it comes to outdoor clothing. This season, the label has developed a brand new footwear collection combining outdoor functionality with contemporary urban design.

The collection is split into outdoor and city-inspired models, bringing sleeker design elements to outdoor models and technical upgrades to city models to create a range of hybrid footwear. To accomplish this, Woolrich partnered with veteran sole maker Vibram on two exclusive shoe soles that guarantee lightness and maximum comfort in all conditions and on all terrains.

The Hiker Boot is at the collection’s helm and, like the rest of the collection, it takes a considered approach to combining technical outdoor features with a modern urban aesthetic. While it looks and functions like a traditional hiking shoe, it features a sole equally suited to city living. The upper construction resembles a mountain boot, as do the lace hooks, and is waterproof. It sits atop a Vibram sole while a lightweight EVA footbed supports the foot.

Don't miss the video above for a look at the shoe in action and find out more via the link below.
