Back in the fall, French Montana successfully released his mixtape MC4 (or Mac and Cheese 4), a project that many assumed would never make it off the ground due to numerous legal issues. Now he has shared his first new piece of music since the mixtape’s release in the form of “Can’t Feel My Face,” a single with Diddy that has arrived with a truly bizarre video. Watch it above.
Though its runtime is rather svelte, the track is about as heavy as it gets. It is two minutes of skull-crushing synthesizers that evoke an air raid siren, while both Montana and Diddy rap as if they are in mortal peril. The video sees the duo stunting around an airplane, with Montana decked out in sunglasses and a ski mask. However, things abruptly shift for its quirky ending, one which sees Montana discussing life and creativity with a statue of Buddha. Who knew he valued the tenets of Eastern philosophy so much?
