After a buzzed-about unveiling at Gosha Rubchinskiy’s rave-themed SS18 show at Saint Petersburg’s DK Svyazi in Russia, Burberry has revealed official lookbook photos of its collaboration with the Russian designer, shot by Gosha Rubchinskiy himself. Check out the lookbook below.
“I have been a big supporter and admirer of Gosha’s creative work for a long time,” said Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s head creative and chief executive officer. “He has an innate cultural sensibility and I was honored when he asked us to collaborate together for his new collection. His reinterpretation of some of our most iconic designs feels exciting, new and relevant whilst paying enormous respect to their British cultural heritage.”
Rubchinskiy then added: “Burberry has always symbolized the epitome of classic British style to me. Their timeless pieces are the perfect balance to our modern streetwear, creating a great mix. I’m very happy with the result of our collaborative work.”
The eight-piece capsule collection features new interpretations of the British label’s signature trench coat in off-kilter, oversized shapes. The collaboration arrives January 2018. In the meantime, you can sign up for updates here.
