Following a look at John Boyega as Jake Pentecost, Legendary unleashes the first official trailer for Pacific Rim Uprising.
Directed by Steven S. DeKnight (Netflix's Daredevil), the film picks up as Jake — whose legendary father lost his life in order to save humanity from the evil “Kaiju” — has given up on his Jaeger pilot, thus ultimately becoming entangled with the criminal underworld. However, when a new and more powerful threat arrises, his sister Mako Mori (Rinko Kikuchi) — who is heading up a new generation of pilots — gives him one more chance to right his wrong and ultimately seek justice.
Cailee Spaeny stars alongside John Boyega and Rinko Kikuchi, in addition to Jing Tian, Burn Gorman, Adria Arjona and Charlie Day, as Pacific Rim Uprising is due in theaters March 23 of next year.
