There was a time when mentioning the words “Pigeon” and “Dunk” in the same breath would send sneakerheads into a spin, as Jeff Staple’s 2005 creation quickly became a very sought after commodity.

Now, thanks to Instagram user @gc911, we are offered our most detailed look yet at the updated “Black Pigeon” Nike SB Dunk Low. Retaining many of the aesthetic sensibilities that served so well to cement the silhouette into the culture of streetwear, the latest iteration features a black nubuck upper, the recognizable red “Sienna” outsole, and of course, the infamous embroidered pigeon around the heel counter.

This timeless silhouette also got the cosign of Hiroshi Fujiwara, as he took to Instagram to show off a picture of them. His special edition pair do however appear to bear fragment design’s thunderbolt logo over the opposing side of the heel counter.

The shoes are expected to hit specific Nike SB retailers as early as November 11. Stay tuned for further updates.
