Denim Tears x Ugg – Onia Tasman Chestnut

UGG’s Tasman slipper is the epitome of comfort, and it’s never looked better now that Tremaine Emory and Denim Tears have given it a meticulous makeover. Featuring no shortage of premium materials, the silhouette is constructed using waterproof suede and Toscana sheepskin, the latter of which is longer and softer than standard sheepskin. The upper is decorated with intricate beaded handywork, paired with embroidered elements that show this collab is all about the details. Below, the rubber sole is handcrafted using the hevea tree, which requires no natural forests to be cut down, in turn minimizing environmental impact all while providing the shoe with superior cushioning. The Denim Tears x UGG collaboration is an homage to Tremaine Emory’s familial roots. More specifically, the creative celebrates his 95-year-old grandmother, Onia, and her Black Seminole origins.
