Editor’s Notes: Following a joint collaboration with Lance Mountain in 2014, Nike’s Jordan Brand and SB divisions joined forces again to release two colorways of the Air Jordan 1 High and four low-top versions of the same silhouette. While all six styles already saw their respective drops between April and May, the “LA to Chicago” colorway of the Air Jordan 1 High is seeing a restock through European retailers. Check out our list of stockists below.
The Air Jordan 1 became a favorite among skateboarders due to a tough, protective design that makes it able to withstand abuse while skating.
Like the Lance Mountain design, the Nike SB Air Jordan 1 features an upper whose OG colorway wears away over time, revealing new colors underneath. The purple and yellow LA colorway transitions to Chicago black and red, while the “Light Bone” iteration reveals pink detailing, transitioning from New York to Paris. All four cities are important locations in Jordan Brand and skateboarding history. Both pairs also boast a Nike SB tongue tag and feature Zoom Air insoles.
