The Nike Air Jordan 11 happens to be Michael Jordan's favorite signature model, and there are plenty of reasons why. Worn by the world's greatest when he and the Chicago Bulls claimed a fourth NBA Championship title against the Seattle Supersonics, the Air Jordan 11 celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, Nike has dropped the Air Jordan 11 "Jubilee" today December 12. Thankfully, you can avoid the L and secure the coveted pair by scrolling down here.

Staying true to the OG colorway of the AJ11, the "Jubilee" makes use of the line's signature patent leather in black, contrasting it with the recognizable clean white outsole. For the first time ever, the eyelets on the shoe spell out "Jordan" in tribute to the shoe's namesake, while the Jumpman logo and "23" insignia are also featured.

The design of the Air Jordan 11 came at a time when both the basketball world and Nike thought signature Jordan sneakers had run their course. MJ had announced his retirement from the game and joined a minor league baseball team, but that didn't stop Tinker Hatfield from betting big on his return and dreaming up one of the best basketball sneakers of all time. Hatfield's carbon-fiber plate and patent leather are still present on a shoe that will undoubtedly have a place in history.

StockX market data shows that the 25th-anniversary-celebrating Nike Air Jordan 11 "Jubilee" is currently selling for an average of $221. Its 52-week high cost reached $373, meaning that it could be a smart time to cop.
