Since Robert Pattison was confirmed as the new Batman last week new details have begun to emerge about what the new Batman will be like.

Matt Reeves who is directing all three films told The Hollywood Reporter, “It’s very much a point of view-driven, noir Batman tale… It’s told very squarely on his shoulders, and I hope it’s going to be a story that will be thrilling but also emotional.”

Reeves said that in his trilogy we will see Batman in “detective mode,” more than we have in other films. Having him track down the criminal and solving the crime gives the hero an arch that, he hopes, will allow him to go through a meaningful transformation.

Reeves also confirmed that the casting process will begin shortly and that the movie would probably be out “for 2021, late spring or summer.”
