The trailer for season four of Black Mirror is as dark and harrowing as one would expect from a show that tackles everyone’s deepest fears.

Clocking in at just under a minute, we get a glimpse of what looks like the perfect mother-daughter relationship before things go dark — as they always do in Black Mirror.

The episode is called “Arkangel” and is directed by Jodie Foster. Starring Rosemarie DeWitt, whose daughter is subject to what looks like psychological testing after a brief scare, the episode presents the tagline, "The key to good parenting is control,” which provides insight into which dark corners of our fears the forthcoming series is headed towards.

Check out the trailer above and then revisit why Black Mirror is so dark here.
