Just two months after introducing the BlackBerry KEY2, the smartphone manufacturer along with licensing partner TCL Communication, now unveils the BlackBerry KEY2 LE, a more affordable variation of the original model and equipped with an all-new keyboard.

Unlike the KEY2's price tag of $649 USD, the KEY2 LE retails for $399 USD in 32GB and $449 USD in 64GB models. The difference in pricing however comes at a cost in terms of its internal specs, but still delivering solid performance with a Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 3,000mAh battery and rear cameras boasting a dual 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel setup, compared to the KEY2's two 12-megapixel lenses.

In terms of its design, the KEY2 LE retains the same sleek profile, with an 4.5-inch LCD display, a redesigned keyboard with keys that are almost up to ten percent larger than previous models, as well as a Speed Key, a universal shortcut key that allows you to access apps, contacts and functions you use most instantly, while running the latest Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.

Availability for the BlackBerry KEY2 is slated for September, and will be offered in three color variations: "Slate," "Champagne" and "Atomic."
