While the much-anticipated sequel to 1982's Blade Runner isn't due out until late next year, here we get an early look at Blade Runner 2 thanks to some incredible concept art.

As expected, plot details are being held close to the vest, but director Denis Villeneuve has confirmed that the events in Blade Runner 2 take place decades after the original. The setting will once again be a future Los Angeles, one that spreads across much of the West Coast.

Villeneuve also revealed that the vehicle showcased in the concept art (slide 2) is a kind of snow blower that hovers over the streets and destroys snow.

Ryan Gosling stars alongside Blade Runner original, Harrison Ford, while Ridley Scott is also back as the executive producer.

Blade Runner 2 is currently expected to release on October 6, 2017.
